Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RedactGuru, a document and image redaction service (the "Service") provided by DIRHAND PTY LTD (ACN 659 390 306, ABN 64 659 390 306), based in Surry Hills, NSW 2010, Australia ("DIRHAND," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or the rights of a third party;
• Upload content you don't have the right to process, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure; or
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 10.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and images you upload ("Your Content"). You grant DIRHAND a limited license to access, process, and store Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — including performing the redaction you request and, where you enable it, allowing your teammates to review it. We do not use Your Content to train models shared across customers, and we do not sell Your Content.

5. Subscriptions and billing

We offer two paid options, billed in USD: an annual Pro subscription, billed on a recurring yearly basis until cancelled and renewing automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and a 7-Day Pass, a one-time purchase that grants Pro features for 7 days and does not renew or recur. We may change subscription fees, but will give you reasonable advance notice before a change takes effect on your account. Every payment is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not happy with your purchase, email support@redactguru.com within 30 days of the payment and we'll refund it in full. After 30 days, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Compliance and certifications

We design the Service with security and compliance in mind (see our Security page), but we do not currently hold formal certifications such as SOC 2 or HIPAA compliance status. If your organization requires a specific certification or a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before using the Service, contact us at hi@redactguru.com to discuss your requirements before you rely on the Service for that use case.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data, and forms part of these Terms.

8. Security and data retention

We use encryption in transit and at rest and limit access to Your Content to what's needed to provide the Service. We retain Your Content only as long as needed to provide the Service; you can delete uploaded documents from your account at any time.

9. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms you choose to connect (e.g. cloud storage providers). We are not responsible for those third parties' availability, security, or terms — your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, subject to any data export or deletion rights described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Automated redaction reduces the risk of exposing sensitive information but is not a substitute for your own review of a document before you share it — you remain responsible for confirming a document is safe to share.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DIRHAND PTY LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law).

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify DIRHAND against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll provide more prominent notice (e.g. email or an in-app notice) before they take effect.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
